Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• BE, B.Tech, MCA or equivalent degree from computer science background

Job Expectations:

• Strong hands‑on experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot

• Proven experience in Microservices Architecture
• Strong understanding of Java Collections Framework
• Hands‑on experience developing RESTful APIs with JSON communication
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented and service‑oriented design principles
• Strong UI development experience using Angular or ReactJS, with CSS / SCSS
• Good understanding of web application design patterns and enterprise frameworks

• Hands‑on experience with unit testing, code quality practices, and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
• Experience with application performance and monitoring tools such as JMeter, JProfiler, or equivalent

• Experience working with Cloud platforms such as OpenShift (OCP) or equivalent Kubernetes‑based environments

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to:

  • Understand and articulate business problems
  • Propose and explain technical solutions
  • Collaborate effectively with business partners and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives to completion
