About the job:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with a strong background in API testing to join our fast-paced technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for our RESTful and/or SOAP APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teamsdevelopers, product managers, DevOps, and other QA engineersto ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

* Analyze user story/ tickets / requirements,

* Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for .NET applications.

* Create and execute automation test scripts.

* Execute automation test scripts, analyze and report results and identify defects RCA.

* Contribute to define test strategies, including both manual and automated approaches.

* Validate deployments across on-prem environments and Azure cloud (App Service, Azure SQL, Storage, APIs).

* Document test case execution results.

* Identify test data for manual test cases.

* Report defects and track them to closure.

* Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test suites using Postman and Test IM.

* Build automated frameworks to streamline testing, reduce manual overhead, and ensure consistency.

* Provide clear and concise test results, metrics, and status updates to project manager.

Required Skills:

* 7+ years of experience in Software QA or Test Automation, particularly with API-focused testing using Postman.

* Solid background in designing and implementing automated frameworks for API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Test IM or similar tools).

* Familiarity with web technologies, RESTful/SOAP protocols, JSON/XML structures, and API design principles.

* Strong understanding of .NET applications, API-driven systems, and backend workflows.

* Hands-on experience testing applications deployed in Azure (App Service, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Storage).

* Solid expertise in SQL Server writing queries, validating business logic at DB layer, data comparison.

* Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, SOAP UI).

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes.

* Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.

* Knowledge of testing environments, build deployments, and configuration validations.
