Senior Software Engineer - Testing

• Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Guidewire applications, including PolicyCenter, to design and execute UI test automation strategies effectively.
• Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to understand application requirements and user stories for comprehensive test case design.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust test automation frameworks tailored for Guidewire applications UI testing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members in implementing best practices for test automation framework development.
• Develop automated BDD test scripts in GT UI & API automation framework to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of Guidewire applications UI components.
• Develop automated test scripts using Guidewire Automation with Selenium Java or Guidewire Automation with Guidewire Automation with Playwright automation framework, or Guidewire Automation with TOSCA/Katalon studio.
• Implement complex test automation techniques, such as data-driven and parameterized testing, to support diverse test scenarios and configurations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive automated regression test suites to ensure the stability and reliability of Guidewire applications UI components.
• Implement automated regression testing strategies to validate UI changes, new features, and enhancements across different versions of the applications.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and QA engineers.
• Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the QA team, driving excellence in test automation practices and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate test automation progress, issues, and recommendations to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing roles, with a focus on UI testing and test automation.
• Strong understanding of Guidewire application - PolicyCenter.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar.
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Java, Groovy, or JavaScript for test automation script development.
• Have good work experience in Personal Lines & Commercial Lines
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI testing.
• Work experience in GT UI automation framework.
• Work experience in Guidewire Automation with Selenium Java or Guidewire Automation with Playwright automation or Guidewire Automation with TOSCA/Katalon studio.
• Knowledge of Guidewire architecture, data model, and business processes.
• Experience with Guidewire configuration, customization, and integration is a plus.
• Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks for UI testing.
• Ability to develop advanced automated test scripts to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of UI components.
• Experience with regression testing automation and strategies for managing test suites across different versions of applications.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
• Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.

Good To Have

• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Guidewire, Selenium or Agile certifications are desirable.
• Guidewire ClaimCenter & BillingCenter knowledge or work experience.
• Guidewire Insurance Analyst certification.
