Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building software that powers Networking Planning, Transportation, and Shipment through our network. You build and iterate on features across network planning, transportation execution, capacity planning, and real-time monitoring. This role will partner closely with various cross-functional teams to drive high-impact architectural solutions and hands-on development, including inception, design, execution, and delivery following good design and coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, test, and deploy applications that support our transportation network.
• Modify designs and specifications of complex applications.
• Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing thoughtful comments and suggestions.
• Leverage AWS and other cloud technologies to design and implement systems in a serverless and event-driven environment.
• Work with technical and non-technical end-users, other engineers, and product managers in a cross-functional, fast-moving, and collaborative environment.
• Analyze code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability—and provide actionable recommendations to leverage our technology more efficiently.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to confirm requirements, prioritize features, and develop new functionality.
• Design and implement LLM-powered features to solve complex logistics challenges, automate manual operational workflows, and unlock new efficiencies for our network.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices by integrating machine learning and intelligent automation into CI/CD pipelines to predict deployment risks and accelerate delivery cycles.
  
  

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying applications in high-traffic production environments.
• 4+ years of experience developing software with JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Self-starter mindset: enjoys taking initiative, moves quickly, ships fast, and is excited about tackling big challenges.
• Enthusiastic about working closely with product and operations team members to develop creative solutions—particularly within the supply chain domain.
• Experience with the following tech stack: AWS, TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• Solid software development background, including serverless patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong pulse on the rapidly evolving AI landscape, with experience applying modern AI trends—such as LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-driven developer practices—to real-world engineering problems.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or network orchestration systems is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a remote-first environment.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
