Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to design and build scalable full-stack systems that deliver measurable business value.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams across business, product, and engineering to:

Discover and define problem statements

Navigate ambiguity

Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready solutions

A key focus area is building AI-powered applications, including RAG systems, LLM integrations, and retrieval pipelines, while contributing to reusable frameworks and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Stakeholder Engagement

Develop deep understanding of business operations and domain context

Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage complex expectations

Build strong trust-based relationships across teams

2. Delivery & Execution

Lead rapid development initiatives using a prototype-first approach

Build end-to-end applications across different technology stacks

Define clear transition strategies from prototype to production

Ensure consistent, high-speed delivery with quality

3. Generative AI & RAG Systems

Architect and implement production-grade RAG systems

Work on advanced retrieval techniques:

Hybrid search

Reranking

Query expansion

Build evaluation pipelines, datasets, and experimentation frameworks

Establish best practices for LLM integrations and AI systems

4. Technical Leadership

Lead multi-team technical initiatives

Mentor engineers and enforce engineering best practices

Drive architecture decisions and system design standards

Balance technical debt with delivery priorities

5. AI-Augmented Development

Implement and promote AI-assisted development workflows

Evaluate tools like Copilot, Cursor, etc.

Ensure quality and validation of AI-generated code

6. System Design & Scalability

Design complex, multi-component systems end-to-end

Make architecture decisions for large-scale applications

Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements

7. Reliability & SRE Practices

Define system reliability and observability standards

Lead incident management and post-mortem processes

Implement monitoring, alerting, and resilience strategies

Establish documentation standards and templates

Promote spec-driven development practices

7+ years of professional software engineering experience

Technical Skills

Full-Stack Development

Strong experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript

Frontend frameworks: React / Next.js

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform / CloudFormation

CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)

Containerization & deployment strategies

Databases

Strong knowledge of:
