Curious about the role What your typical day would look like
We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable APIs and event-driven systems deployed on Azure or GCP.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Build RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures
Implement event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure or GCP
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers and frontend developers
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Experience building Microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka
- Experience deploying applications on Azure or GCP
- Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API security
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Good to Have
Exposure to Kubernetes
Experience working with distributed systems
Knowledge of design patterns and system design basics
