Primary Responsibilities:
- Software Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
- Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka to ensure real-time data streaming and integration
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices that support front-end applications and business processes
- Database Management:
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes in MySQL or other relational databases
- Work with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) if required
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization for database operations
- System Design & Architecture:
- Collaborate with architects and other developers to design system architecture that aligns with business requirements
- Implement best practices for microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Integration & Deployment:
- Integrate systems using messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka for data streaming and communication
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to industry best practices
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the technical team
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Qualifications - External
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems and data streaming
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially MySQL (including query optimization, indexing, etc.)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API development
- Expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
- Solid proficiency in Java programming language
- Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to mentor and guide junior developers
