A
Senior Software Engineer will design and implement complex functionality. Provide frequent guidance and support to other developers and be the subject matter expert of an application area. The successful candidate will participate on an agile team to estimate and groom backlog items. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the end product meets the minimum quality standards, is fully functional, and is user-friendly.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- 7-10+ years of relevant web application/services development
- 7-10+ years of large enterprise or e-business systems experience
- Ability to design and implement complex functionality
- Ability to understand and integrate with third-party APIs
- Provides frequent help and support to other developers
- Experience with large (500+ database table) system development a plus
- Eager to learn and grow
- Strong experience in Python (3.x)
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, Serverless Architecture)
- Experience in REST API design and development
- Strong knowledge of MySQL / relational databases
- Understanding of backend performance optimization and security best practices
- Familiarity with Git/version control
- Experience with Flask (or similar frameworks like Chalice)
- Hands-on experience with AWS SAM (Serverless Application Model)
- Experience using SQLAlchemy ORM
- Knowledge of API gateway integrations
Core Job duties
- Develop and maintain user interface controls, business logic, and SQL Server stored procedures
- Participate on the agile team to estimate and groom backlog items, plan development activities, and improve the development process
- Develop functionality using the client coding standards
- Work with business analysts to clarify requirements and debug problems
- Investigate third-level support requests.
