Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary -

The position plays an important role in the design and analysis of software projects. The position includes defining software requirements, writing clean and efficient code for various applications and running tests to improve system functionality. Implement and maintain Java components and frameworks throughout the software development life cycle.

Years of experience needed -

• 3 yrs of experience of solid React JS application development experience, including a thorough understanding of React JS core design principles, architecture patterns, unit and automation testing frameworks, and popular ReactJS npm libraries.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Experience working in an agile development environment (Agile, Scrum or Kanban preferred)
• Preferred master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
• Preferably worked in the Healthcare Insurance sub-domain.
• Good to have - Worked on projects with accessibility needs.

Technical Skills:

• Designing and writing software optimized for functionality, maintainability, and automation
• Building next generation web applications.
• Developing the detailed design structure after understanding the requirements and the design.
• Implementing the best practices and coding standards of the project.
• Keep on asking for reviews and feedback from your peers
• Result-oriented - prioritize user stories and tasks and deliver a quality product in aggressive timelines
• React JS, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Redux, JavaScript, Bootstrap, AntD, Material-UI, Jest, Karma, Visio, InVision, Figma
• Tech Lead should inspire all the other team members, a Lead who is looked upon by all the members
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Developing new user-facing features using React JS
• Ability to take wireframes or designs and translate them into high-quality user interfaces.
• Familiar with the mobile application development lifecycle
• Mentor and guide a team of developers
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs. Developing new features in React while working closely with API & Design teams.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Work closely with product owners to help gather and refine requirements.
• Advise product owners to key technology concepts and implementing customer needs in a timely manner
• Applying a system thinking mindset to the work needed
• Performing design and code reviews
• Evaluates project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform process re-engineering if required.
• Analyzes the business impact that certain technical choices may have on a client's business processes.
• Continuously researches emerging technologies and proposes changes to the existing architecture.
