IT Manager Congress & Events Management
Job Description
Looking for candidates interested in a role of IT Manager in the Congress & Events Management space. Individual will be responsible for shaping, delivering & supporting Congress & Events Management technical capabilities & road maps in partnership with Internal Business Stakeholders, IT Collegues, Technology Partners and other matrix team members globally.
Responsibilities
- Shape and execute the IT operations and delivery models to support Congress & Events Management solutions
- Collaborate with matrix teams to drive platform roadmap in support of business & platform needs
- Maintain external platform partner/vendor relationships to influence & drive their product roadmaps
- Manage and prioritize requests from Business & IT Stakeholders
- Manage business change requests via Operational Change Board(s)
- Gather, analyze, & summarize key information from meetings and producing useful minutes (e.g. decisions, action items, next steps).
- Analyze and understanding business needs and processes.
- Analyze and understanding technical system architecture(s) and design(s).
- Analyze data to inform business and/or IT decisions.
- Find technological solutions to business requirements.
- Assist with sourcing and implementing new technology(s).
- Design & develop cost effective solutions that meet business, functional, technical, security and performance requirements which also adhere to platform design standards & release management process
- Create and/or maintain documentation (e.g. requirements, process flows, data flows, architecture diagrams, etc.).
- Provide updates on application development and implementation efforts.
- Collaborate with matrix teams (i.e. Business, IT, Security, External Vendors, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of programs, projects and support activities to meet business needs
- Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Execute & manage IT vendor contract(s) and Service Order(s) as needed
- Ensure management & control of IT project and / or operational financials and budgets as needed
- Ensure technical solutions are compliant with BMS policies, procedures and regulations
- Identify, clarify, and resolve system development and/or maintenance activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed

- Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Possess presentation skills (both verbal & written) to deliver clear & transparent communications.
- Experience with both different system development life cycle methodologies (i.e., Waterfall and Agile)
- Ability to work closely with and influence various stakeholders to align on acceptable solutions and outcomes.
- High energy and works with sense of urgency.
- Comfortable working with limited direction and/or independently.
- Interested in technology and the application of it to meeting needs and/or solving problems.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Comfortable with change.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Pharma Experience a plus.
- Experience with Healthcare Professional (HCP) Event Planning (e.g., Speaker Programs, Consulting Engagements, Congresses, etc.,) a plus.
- Experience with global HCP Transparency reporting regulations & requirements a plus
- Experience with Veeva Events Management, Cvent, LectureLinx and/or Elevate platforms a plus.
- Degree(s) and/or certification(s) in computer engineering, business administration, or related field is a plus.
