Software Development Engineer II (Frontend)

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (Frontend) with 3+ years of experience to join our engineering team and help build and scale our e-commerce marketplace platform.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create fast, scalable, and user-friendly web experiences. You will contribute to the development of customer-facing features, improve application performance and SEO, and help drive frontend engineering best practices across the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components and modules.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs.
• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of features throughout their lifecycle, from development to deployment and monitoring.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously improve development processes.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern web development principles.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly web applications.
• Familiarity with API integration and client-server communication.
• Basic understanding of backend development concepts and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and SEO fundamentals.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or B2B commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals, web performance optimization, and frontend best practices.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments and deployment workflows.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with React Native and mobile application development is good to have.
