Job Description

At Regnology our greatest asset is our people. We value diversity and foster an inclusive environment that supports learning, safety, and growth. By investing in our team, listening to customers, and encouraging creativity, we drive continuous innovation and improvement.

We offer a flexible, innovative environment where your ideas matter and your career can thrive.

Regnology is a global leader in regulatory reporting, helping financial institutions, regulators, and tax authorities improve data quality, efficiency, and cost savings. Our mission: to safeguard financial markets through smarter, future-ready solutions.

We are seeking a skilled Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer to join Regnology as a cross-team floater. We build supervisory and statistical platforms.

This role is for someone who enjoys moving between products and squads: learning new tech and team cultures quickly, understanding how each team works, and spotting where they can add the most value. You will contribute complex delivery in both Java and C# /.NET environments, working closely with Product, Architects, and team leads to ship creative, high-quality, sustainable software.

You will typically have depth in one stack and strong production experience in the other (Java-native with C#, or C#-native with Java), plus the curiosity to keep expanding across our portfolio — including modern cloud-native delivery.

What you'll do

  • Act as a technical lead / senior engineer floater across SupTech teams, embedding where capacity and complexity need it most.
  • Design and deliver features and fixes in Java and/or C# /.NET.
  • Work with full-stack concerns as needed (APIs, business logic, data access; Angular exposure is a plus).
  • Raise engineering quality through code review, unit/acceptance testing, and pragmatic modernization of existing applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architects, and local tech lead.
  • Learn each team's domain, ways of working, and delivery constraints; leave behind clearer design and stronger team capability when you move on.
  • Gain exposure to containerised and cloud-native delivery (Docker / Kubernetes, GCP / Rcloud-style platforms), including relevant technical discussions and reviews.

Why we should decide on you

Mandatory skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development.
  • Nice to have
  • Angular (or similar modern SPA) experience.
  • Prior tech-lead or mentoring experience (influence, standards, unblocking — not necessarily line management).
  • Experience in regulated / supervisory / statistical reporting domains.
  • Foundational AI concepts and willingness to use modern AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Strong production depth in either Java or C# /.NET, plus solid hands-on experience in the other.
  • Comfortable with relational databases and server-side application design (e.g. SQL Server and/or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to work across more than one codebase / product, not only a single long-term stack.
  • Enjoys floating between teams: learns new tech and team cultures quickly; reads how a squad works; self-directs to where help is needed.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong sense of team spirit, interpersonal skills, time management, and self-organisation.
  • Interest in cloud-native development (containers, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as GCP).
