Design, develop, and maintain LifeAsia application components and modules
Implement business requirements by translating functional specifications into technical solutions
Customize and configure LifeAsia workflows, products, and processes
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical inputs
Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
Support system integration with external applications (APIs, middleware, third-party systems)
Participate in UAT, deployment, and production support activities
Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with development standards
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
6-7 years of development experience, with 4+ years in LifeAsia (recent experience)
We need a person who has worked on Policy Administration module of LifeAsia for this role. Who has worked on E2E development and implementation of Policy Admin System of Life Asia.
Strong hands-on experience with LifeAsia development, configuration, Integration, and customization
Proficiency in programming languages relevant to LifeAsia (e.g., SMART400/AS400, COBOL SQL400, scripting if applicable)
Develop and optimize programs using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / RPGLE), CL, and SQL400
Knowledge of batch processing, job scheduling, and system utilities on AS400
Good understanding of life insurance domain (policy admin, underwriting, claims, billing)
Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data interfaces
Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
Strong debugging, performance tuning, code optimization and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience in core system modernization or migration projects
Familiarity with cloud platforms or microservices architecture
Knowledge of version control tools (Git, SVN)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in distributed or offshore teams
