About the role
We're a small, focused team at MakeBetter Technologies building AI-powered products. We move fast, care deeply about craft, and need an experienced infrastructure engineer to help us ship reliably. This is a 6-month contract role, fully remote, with the possibility of extension based on fit and project needs.
What you'll do
- Own deployment pipelines — set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD workflows for our AI projects.
- Write and review code — contribute to AI-adjacent tooling, infrastructure scripts, and automation code.
- Ensure system reliability — monitor, debug, and resolve infrastructure-level issues quickly.
- Collaborate closely with the product and engineering team to ship features end to end.
What we're looking for
- Solid experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud platforms, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), deployment automation.
- Comfortable writing real code, Python, Bash, Teraform or similar. You shouldn't need someone else to handle the scripting side.
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or model deployment is a strong plus, not mandatory, but you'll be working around this space.
- Self-directed and reliable in a remote, async environment, you manage your own time well and communicate proactively.
