Skillset
- Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI, Looker, and Qlik for dashboard/report development
- Experience with Databricks, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong SQL and understanding of data modelling (dimensional / star schema)
- Experience building interactive dashboards and visualisations
- Knowledge of data validation and basic data quality checks
- Understanding of performance optimisation for reports and queries
- Familiarity with semantic layers, data marts, and curated datasets
- Exposure to Git, CI/CD, and deployment processes
- Understanding of data governance and access control
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills
Detailed Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Looker, and Qlik
- Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions
- Write and optimise SQL queries for reporting
- Work with data engineering teams to consume data from Databricks/BigQuery
- Build and maintain datasets and semantic layers
- Ensure reports are accurate, performant, and user-friendly
- Perform data validation and reconciliation
- Optimise report performance and query efficiency
- Support report rationalisation initiatives
- Enable self-service reporting through reusable assets
- Participate in UAT, testing, and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues
- Enhance reports based on stakeholder feedback
- Document report logic and data sources
