Position Description:

The Videojet team is looking for a technically strong teammate, who will work with us to test software associated with new printer products, ongoing printer product software enhancements and sustainment with Videojet processes and quality standards.

The Senior Test Engineer will use their testing skills to ensure the quality of the software is suitable for release to the customer. In addition to it, design and development skills to build automation across the platforms to achieve consistent results. This position will require skills in Identification of security issues on new and existing products which must comply to privacy and security by design which includes Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration testing and Threat modelling and other standard methodologies. Engineer will involve interacting with the Manager on getting clarity on requirement and collaborate with team to deliver Quality software on time. Individual needs to be a self-starter, mentor team members on technical aspects and will have to champion best in class STLC practices.

Associate will be required to work with team across the globe, including Software Architects, Developers and Testers.

Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:

  • On time delivery of Test Automation tasks for project
  • Authoring Automation Strategy for projects
  • Assessment of product requirements to provide strategy & impact on Test Automation of the product.
  • Author, Co-Author and review various verification documents (e.g:- Test Plan)
  • Create/ Maintain the Automation framework/ Infrastructure for the project
  • Creating POC for product feature Automation
  • Create Strategy to increase Automation coverage for product
  • Create/Maintain the bowler for tracking the progress of the automation deliverables and report the same to management
  • Manage, plan and assign tasks to the team
  • To be responsible for work quality of team, ensuring it meets the relevant technical and regulatory standards.
  • Drive the design/code review process for test automation, seeking and providing constructive criticism
  • Identify Automation Opportunity in project to reduce verification time
  • Drive continuous integration by development and automated execution of verification & validation tests.
  • Provide estimates of detailed level project related verification activities.
  • Mentor team members
  • Highlighting any automation risks for Project on time to the management
  • Prioritization of cross-team automation initiatives & lead those within your own team

To be successful in this opportunity, the must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Master's degree in Software Engineering or Information Science/Technology or a related field with 8+ years experience.
  • 5+ years experience in Test automation team
  • 8+ years hands-on experience with and/or familiarity with a variety of software test automation tools
  • Excellent programming and technical skills in Python, BDD (Mandatory)
  • Good to have experience in C#, API testing Postman ,AI usage on embedded applications
  • Experience in Test automation and Software Testing including the application of test processes through software development life cycles.
  • Hands-on experience in testing of desktop applications, automation software tools, concepts, and applications.
  • Experience in application of test process through software development life cycles.
  • Experience in BDD test development practices.
  • Experience in creating test plans, test cases and automation of test cases.
  • Experience in automation framework design and development.
