How will you make an impact in this role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can design and build large scale systems for financial services. This role is hands on and strategic. You will work across modern Java platforms, search systems, machine learning, and Generative AI. The core focus of this role is building intelligent agent driven systems that can take actions and solve real business problems.
You will work closely with product teams, data teams, and frontend engineers to deliver reliable and explainable solutions used by millions of customers.
Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Enterprise Java and Microservices - Design and build cloud native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud to support high transaction volumes in a call center environment.
- Lead the modernization of legacy systems into resilient microservices using CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
- Develop hands on solutions for complex frameworks and support proofs of concept across the organization.
- Search and Discovery Platforms - Design and lead search platforms using Elasticsearch, Vector searching using embeddings.
- Build advanced indexing strategies so customer service teams can search millions of transactions in real time.
- Improve search relevance and analytics to identify transactions and customer behavior patterns.
- Machine Learning and Recommendation Systems - Build recommendation engines that personalize user behavior using system interaction data.
- Connect SQL and PostgreSQL data warehouses with machine learning pipelines to run models at scale.
- Deploy machine learning models as APIs that can be consumed by other systems.
- Generative AI and Agent Based Systems - Build autonomous AI agents using LangChain and LangGraph that can manage multi step workflows.
- Design hybrid RAG systems that combine vector search, keyword search, and graph reasoning for accurate customer responses
- Fine tune and train language models using internal data.
- Graph Data Modelling - Use graph databases such as Neo4j or Apache AGE to model relationships across servicing entities.
- Apply graph reasoning to improve context aware data retrieval for a Hybrid RAG.
Minimum Qualifications
- 12 or more years of experience in IT with a strong journey from Java development into AI and ML architecture.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field
- Expert knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring AOP with strong object oriented design skills.
- Deep hands on experience with Elasticsearch and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Strong Python skills for machine learning including Pandas and modern ML frameworks.
- Proven experience building recommendation systems and predictive models.
- Real world experience working with LLMs, vector databases, LangChain, LangGraph, and RAG architectures.
- Experience using graph databases and modelling complex relationships for AI driven systems.
- Working knowledge of React and Redux to understand end to end application flow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in fintech, banking, or payments with credit card servicing experience.
- Experience connecting traditional enterprise content systems with modern AI retrieval platforms.
- A strong track record of building agent based systems that can take actions and not just generate responses.
- Experience developing AI agents and MCP servers.
