Propel is hiring a Senior AI Product Engineer to build and scale Sonic, its AI-native marketing platform. The role is focused on designing and architecting a multi-tenant SaaS platform that powers conversational AI experiences for marketers. The position is 70% Backend and 30% Frontend, with strong ownership across architecture, system design, APIs, and AI-enabled product development. Responsibilities: - Design and implement multi-tenant SaaS architecture (tenant isolation, RBAC, quotas). - Build scalable backend services for conversational AI, streaming responses, file management, conversation history, and tool execution. - Develop APIs, data models, and frontend-backend integrations. - Translate product and UX requirements into production-ready features. - Drive system architecture, schema design, async workflows, and scalability initiatives. - Create technical design documents (RFCs) and engineering specifications. - Review code, mentor peers, and establish engineering best practices. - Leverage AI coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot to accelerate development. - Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
