Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer (3–7 years), you will be responsible for designing and building high-performance, scalable systems powering real-time conversational AI. This role requires a strong understanding of backend systems, distributed architecture, and performance optimization, along with exposure to AI-driven workflows.

You will work across the full stack of voice AI systems- from speech input (ASR) to LLM processing and orchestration, to speech output (TTS) — ensuring seamless, low-latency interactions. A key part of your role will also involve deploying and managing services in a containerized, cloud-native environment using Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficient resource utilization under high concurrency.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and building low-latency backend systems for real-time voice interactions

Developing and optimizing LLM orchestration pipelines (prompting, memory, tool usage, fallback handling)

Integrating and improving ASR (speech-to-text) and TTS (text-to-speech) systems

Handling high-concurrency workloads (hundreds to thousands of simultaneous voice sessions)

Improving streaming responses and partial response delivery speed

Deploying, scaling, and managing services using Kubernetes (K8s)

Working with containerization (Docker) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Building observability systems (logging, monitoring, tracing) for debugging AI pipelines

Driving architectural decisions for scalability, fault tolerance, and performance

Qualifications:

3–7 years of strong backend engineering experience

Expertise in Node.js and/or Python

Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring)

Experience with Docker and containerized environments

Familiarity with LLMs (OpenAI or similar), prompt engineering, or AI pipelines

Experience building real-time or low-latency systems

Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with ASR/TTS systems.

Understanding of WebSockets, streaming architectures, or WebRTC

Experience handling latency-critical systems (<500ms response time)

Prior work on voice agents or conversational AI systems
