Senior Software Engineer ( Frontend )

Foundational Commons platform team is responsible for building and scaling horizontal services like Document Management System, Notifications, Dropzone, Crawler etc., which are critical for several business operations and powering every payment at PayPal. This role is responsible for designing, architecting and driving solutions which meets One PayPal platform vision by collaborating with senior tech leadership across functions and business units.Job Description:

Looking for technically strong candidate, with hands on development experience in Node.js and React.js, who should be a team player, with curiosity to learn and grow in business domain and new technical skills. Exposure to typescript is add-on. Should have good communication and articulate skills to present the ideas, influence team players and stakeholders.

Your day to day:

• Design and develop critical web-based systems (internal & client-facing), including building out and maintain reusable frameworks 
• Design and implement solutions, in fast iterations from prototype to production release to large scales.
• Always passionate about building high performing software components.
• Continuously look for opportunities for performance tuning
• Collaborate with other engineers, architects, cross domain, and business stakeholders to provide the best solution possible
• Collaborate with Product Managers
• Participating and collaborating with cross functional teams in scrum of scrums
• Challenge status-quo
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to deliver from coarse grained requirements.
• Own code quality, conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers

What do you need to bring:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 4+ years of application-oriented software development experience with at least 3-4 years of Node & React development experience.
• Rich Experience in Typescript
• Good experience in prototyping & wireframing tools like Figma
• Experience with various authentication/authorization protocols (e.g.SSO)
• Deep experience on UE and UI
• Front end Architecture/Performance Tuning/Safety Optimization will be a big plus 
• Innovative, passionate and teamworking.
