Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with web development and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- 3 years of experience with front-end and user interface development and experience leading and mentoring software engineers.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture with web application architecture, performance optimization , and security best practices.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

In this role, you will guide the technical direction and development of our web applications, built on Google's standard frameworks. Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical direction for client-side aspects of our product(s). Lead the design and development of web applications (written in soy, kotlin etc.).
- Mentor and coach a team of 3-5 client engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring high-quality engineering output.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Conduct and oversee design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions. Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver engaging user experiences.
- Advocate engineering excellence, including best practices in testing, accessibility, performance, and security. Identify and mitigate technical risks and debt, and contribute to development and prototyping of features.
