About eReleGo

eReleGo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a Bengaluru-based technology company building scalable digital platforms across AdTech, EdTech, SaaS ERP, and FinTech domains. The company focuses on applying advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and data-driven systems to solve real operational problems for businesses and educational institutions.

As eReleGo scales into a firm of larger size, revenue, and complexity, it is investing deliberately in building strong internal capabilities across leadership, operations, technology, people, and culture. The objective is not just rapid growth, but sustainable, future-ready growth supported by structured systems, strong talent, and accountable teams.

About eGenius

eGenius is eReleGo's flagship Education ERP platform, designed to modernise and streamline campus and academic operations for schools, colleges, universities, coaching centres, and online education providers. It is a cloud-based, modular system covering student management, attendance, examinations, fees, HR, transport, library, and communication workflows. eGenius is built for institutions that want reliability, scalability, and clarity in their academic and administrative processes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel to contribute to the continued evolution of eGenius, our enterprise-grade education ERP platform. This role is responsible for building, enhancing, and optimising core product modules while ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability.

The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate institutional requirements into scalable technical solutions. The role is suited to a strong individual contributor who can independently own modules, solve complex technical problems, and contribute meaningfully to architectural and performance discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance core modules of the eGenius platform using PHP and Laravel
  • Translate functional requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable code
  • Collaborate with product and business teams to understand institutional workflows across admissions, academics, finance, HR, examinations, and reporting
  • Write efficient database queries and optimise data models to support large institutional datasets
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions for new features and enhancements
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application and database layers
  • Integrate backend services with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Contribute to release planning, sprint execution, and production deployments
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes
  • Continuously improve development efficiency through better tooling, automation, and refactoring

Experience and Profile

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on PHP development experience, including strong working experience with Laravel
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable web applications with multi-user, high-data environments
  • Exposure to SaaS or ERP platforms, preferably within the education or institutional domain
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments
  • Ability to independently own modules from development through deployment and support

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel with clean coding and design pattern knowledge
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and database optimisation techniques
  • Experience with Git and structured version control practices
  • Understanding of REST APIs, third-party integrations, and system interoperability
  • Working knowledge of frontend-backend integration with modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, containerisation, and deployment pipelines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and ability to collaborate effectively across product and engineering teams
  • High ownership mindset with attention to detail and delivery discipline

Recruitment Process

eReleGo follows a structured, assessment-led recruitment process focused on long-term fit and capability development. Shortlisted candidates will go through:

  • ETPL Aptitude Test (EAT) - to assess analytical ability, reasoning, and problem-solving
  • ETPL Psychometric Test (EPT) - to understand work style, behavioural tendencies, and role alignment
  • Interview Rounds - including functional and culture-fit discussions

This process ensures fairness, transparency, and clarity for both the candidate and the organisation.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to senior educators, institutional leaders, and industry practitioners
  • Opportunities to learn from internal capability-building initiatives and leadership programs
  • A growing organisation that is investing in better systems, clearer roles, and stronger people practices
  • A work environment that values learning, ownership, and long-term career growth

As a scaling company, eReleGo is evolving its processes, teams, and structures. This role suits individuals who are comfortable growing alongside the organisation, contributing to improvement, and building strong foundations rather than expecting everything to be fully polished from day one.
