Senior Software Engineer / Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Design and build backend systems for payment processing, settlement and reconciliation
• Own services handling high-volume, high-integrity financial transactions across multiple markets and currencies
• Work directly with banking and settlement partners to integrate new payment rails
• Improve reliability, monitoring and incident response for production payment infrastructure
• Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions
• For Engineering Manager applicants: lead and grow a team of backend engineers, own delivery and technical direction for the group

What you'll need

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience building or maintaining systems handling financial transactions, ledgers or settlement, in payments, banking, fintech or another regulated environment
• Strong command of a backend language (Java, Go, Python or similar) and distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and production-grade system design
• Comfort working under security and compliance requirements (PCI-DSS or similar)
• For Engineering Manager applicants: proven experience managing a backend or payments engineering team, including hiring, performance and delivery ownership

Nice to have

• Direct experience with carrier billing, cross-border payments or local payment method integrations
• Background at a fintech, payments or banking infrastructure company
