Position Summary:
We at Perforce are looking for Senior Java Software Engineer for Akana team in Pune. Akana provides an end-to-end API Lifecycle management, gateway and API security solution. We work in an agile product development process with core values of results, teamwork, ownership, quality of work, problem solving, and service to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement features, enhancements, tech upgrades
- Propose and drive new initiatives, improvements, changes
- Understand product domain and functional areas and build in-debt knowledge of corresponding code, architecture, components used to implement it
- Efficiently troubleshoot customer issues to resolution
- Connect with different stakeholders as and when required
- Guide and mentor team members
Core Technical Skills:
- Proven expertise in architecting and implementing enterprise-grade Java applications
- Strong understanding and experience of design patterns and software engineering principles
- Good experience with Spring Framework and RESTful/SOAP web services
- Experience in searching, caching, messaging and logging frameworks
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases including Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Good experience in build tools Gradle, Maven, and Ant
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Experience working with Git and version control systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban

Added Advantage:
- Knowledge or experience with the OSGi framework
- API security standards and specifications like OAuth, OAS, etc

- UI Development skills: JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, etc
- Experience with Python scripting or development
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
