Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary :

Deltek is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our global development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust web-enabled applications and data-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the US, Philippines, and India. You will work on mission-critical systems, requiring a deep understanding of both application logic and database architecture, and support customer issues during US East Time hours. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-enabled applications using Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations to deliver high-quality software products and updates.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving application and database layers

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience using Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Proven experience developing SQL, SQL Functions, and Stored Procedures.
• Knowledge in PL/SQL or Transact-SQL.
• Quick to learn new products and technologies.
• Involvement in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across distributed teams.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams across different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education or experience in Accounting and Budgeting.
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SSRS, Jasper, IBM Cognos).
• Experience with database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
