About the Team

You'll join the CRM Integrations team, a group of engineers based across India working on seamlessly integrating Chargebee with leading CRM platforms. The team partners closely with Product Management, Customer Success, Support, and other engineering teams to deliver integrations that strengthen Chargebee's position as the preferred subscription billing solution for enterprises. About the Role (Job Summary)

You will be a key member of the CRM Integration team, driving initiatives to seamlessly integrate Chargebee with leading CRM platforms. In this role, you will own and evolve the current CRM integration solutions to ensure Chargebee customers experience smooth and scalable integration. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrations that strengthen Chargebee's position as the preferred subscription billing solution for enterprises.

What You'll Do (Role and Responsibilities)

• Ideate, design, and develop CRM integration applications/services with a focus on data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to design and build robust CRM connectors.
• Write hands-on code to build frameworks or middleware that facilitate integrations.
• Actively maintain functional and non-functional quality through automated tests, data validation checks, and integration-specific API automation.
• Own integration quality by performing effective code reviews and proactively identifying issues in data sync or API consumption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues with urgency and clarity.
• Champion adoption of Agile practices within the team.
• Author and maintain technical documents and API specs, ensuring clarity for engineering and other teams.

Must Have

• 5 - 7 years of proven experience in building distributed systems to handle high throughput, low latency, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Distributed Systems, SQL, and NoSQL databases, and a basic understanding of JavaScript frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, GraphQL, and data synchronization patterns.
• Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn enterprise CRM platforms like Salesforce and integrate with them.
• Experience working on large-scale systems in the Cloud.
• Experience creating/supporting production-grade systems with proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Strong debugging skills with tools such as Postman, Datadog, and Splunk.
• Excellent communication skills — ability to simplify complex integration scenarios for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Effective team player with experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA/Confluence.

Nice to Haves

• Experience building and managing enterprise-grade integrations is an advantage.
• Prior work experience in HubSpot or Salesforce CRM is an advantage.
• Familiarity with observability tools like New Relic or Datadog.

Education and Experience

B.E. / B.Tech or higher with 5 - 7 years of engineering experience, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer.
