Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to join our technology team supporting a leading motor vehicle manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support manufacturing operations, supply chain management, production planning, quality control, and business processes.

The candidate will work closely with manufacturing engineers, business analysts, quality teams, and IT stakeholders to deliver innovative software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications.
• Develop web-based, desktop, and API-driven applications to support manufacturing operations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Manufacturing Systems Support

• Develop and enhance applications integrated with:
• ERP Systems
• MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Production Planning Systems
• Inventory Management Systems
• Quality Management Systems
• Support digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Database Management

• Design and optimize database structures.
• Create SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance.

Integration & Automation

• Develop APIs and middleware integrations between enterprise systems.
• Automate manufacturing and business workflows.
• Integrate software with shop-floor equipment and IoT devices where applicable.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
• Troubleshoot software defects and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain software documentation and technical specifications.

Collaboration

• Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Participate in requirement gathering and solution design discussions.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Software Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• MCA or related discipline

Experience

• Experience working in manufacturing or automotive environments is preferred.
