This position reports to the and is part of the located in and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • You will be the Senior Developer in your scrum team, and you will closely collaborate with the Lab automation Software development Team in Munich, Germany, with the Platform Development Team in IDC and with the Lab Automation Verification Team in IDC.
  • You will implement the requested product features and automation tests utilizing the SW Design which are created by Architects.
  • Since Quality is of utmost importance to Beckman Coulter, you foster the respective code of conduct for developers and follow clean coding practices.
  • Collaborate with a global ecosystem of peers and partners in meeting objectives.
  • Actively keeps abreast of emerging trends and technology changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate Quality Management Systems and company policies and procedures.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology.
  • 4-8 years of technical experience in multi-disciplined projects and some years of experience in Agile software development.
  • Very good knowledge in C# .NET Framework based windows application development, inclusive of main principles of .NET Framework e.g. asynchronous programming models, threading models, garbage collection and strong experience with Object-Oriented Design principles and patterns.
  • Good knowledge in automated testing and continuous integration principles
  • Some experience in GUI development and related technologies e.g. WPF
  • Is a fast learner able to quickly become adept at using the Danaher Business System tool set, is able and open to learn new technologies as needed, and able to learn low level instrument and robot related design and work.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Some experience of working in medical device development, needs to be familiarized with standards such as ISO13845 and ISO62304
  • Exposure to working in development environments using GitHub Copilot and experience extending the environments with GitHub Copilot extensions.
