Senior Software Engineer – C++

Key Responsibilities

Design and build core components of Stellar Core

Develop robust, scalable, and extensible systems for a global blockchain network

Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with senior engineers and open-source contributors

Write clean, maintainable, and future-proof C++ code with strong edge-case analysis

Own and evolve critical subsystems within Stellar Core

Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks

Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and engineering best practices

Author detailed technical specifications and protocol RFCs

Required Profile

4+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong academic background in computer science or equivalent

Deep expertise writing modern C++ in production environments

Strong communicator able to lead technical discussions and reviews

Solid understanding of software design patterns and modular system design

Direct experience in blockchain, crypto protocols, or demonstrated active participation in Web3 communities

Bonus Experience

Experience designing and implementing distributed systems

Strong curiosity and understanding of blockchain and crypto fundamentals

Rust experience is a plus, though C++ is the primary language
