What You'll Do
As a Software Engineer, you'll design, build, and operate the software powering next-generation satellite and ground communication systems. You'll work on mission-critical software that operates at global scale and contributes directly to the future of telecommunications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-reliability, mission-critical software for satellite and ground systems.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the software lifecycle, from architecture and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Apply strong object-oriented design principles to build scalable and maintainable software.
- Develop prototypes to validate new architectural concepts and technical approaches.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, testing, and release management.
- Develop simulation, emulation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing environments.
- Participate in production operations, including monitoring, data analysis, debugging, and visualization.
- Collaborate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5-8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C++, Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Exposure to networking, wireless protocols, or telecommunications (e.g., 2G/GSM, 4G/LTE)
- Experience building and debugging software through professional work, internships, or substantial academic projects.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with a positive, ownership-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ yrs of Professional experience with C++ and Python.
- Experience building highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP and UDP.
- Strong proficiency in an object-oriented language (e.g., C++, Python, Java, C#) and a deep understanding of OO design principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, simulation environments, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing.
- Familiarity with monitoring, data analysis, and visualization tools.
- Experience working in Linux development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving engineering environment.
- Passion for solving complex engineering challenges and taking ownership from concept to deployment.
