Job Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the team as our technical execution layer. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the integrations, automations, internal tools, and products that support and run the business.
You will work against an agreed technology roadmap and architecture, while having the autonomy to decide how solutions are technically designed and implemented. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions, and taking ownership of production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations between core business systems.
- Develop custom-coded workflows and automations within HubSpot.
- Develop, maintain, and improve the internal platform.
- Build applications, tools, and data-driven solutions using data from Snowflake.
- Deliver workflow automation and support the implementation of AI and LLM-based solutions.
- Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing production code.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Test, deploy, and document solutions to a high standard.
- Work closely with the Data Lead on Snowflake, data integrations, and data-driven products.
- Follow secure software development practices in line with Cyber Essentials Plus controls.
- Take ownership of assigned technical work and deliver against agreed priorities and timelines.
Tech Stack
The role will involve working across the following technology stack:
- Source Control: GitHub
- APIs & Integrations: Node.js, hosted on Render
- CRM Automation: HubSpot custom-coded workflows using Node.js
- Internal Platform: Vercel with a Supabase database
- Data: Snowflake
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
- Comfortable working across multiple programming languages and technologies.
- Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade software.
- Strong understanding of Git and GitHub workflows.
- Good working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience troubleshooting and improving existing codebases.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to software development.
- Ability to work effectively within an agreed technical architecture and roadmap.
Desirable skills
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Python development.
- HubSpot development or integrations with other CRM platforms.
- Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
- Supabase, Vercel, or Render.
- AI and LLM integrations, including working with AI APIs and automation.
- Experience working in the property, lettings, real estate, or property management sector.
Ways of working
- Work will be prioritised against the Technology roadmap set by the Head of Systems & Innovation.
- You will work closely with the Data Lead on Snowflake and data-driven builds.
- System and data access will be granted on a least-privilege basis, in line with RNR's Cyber Essentials Plus requirements.
- The role will operate primarily in alignment with UK business hours.
- You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with the wider Technology team and business stakeholders.
