summary One Web is one of the three large pieces of the company's omnipresence strategy and the most important.
It is an integrated platform offering a portfolio of products covering payments, cards, wallets, loans, deposits, mutual funds, and loans on lifestyle products ranging from consumer durables to home furnishing.
One Web platform will integrate our home-grown ecommerce store, insurance marketplace, investment marketplace, payments engine including BBPS and offer a consumer-tech experience to our customers.
It will be a dynamic digital platform which will be hyper-personalized for each customer and provide the right nudges across multiple channels to start, resume or finish the journey.
The One Web frontend developer present a great aptitude in understanding business, functional and non-functional requirements to create a UI solution that are best matched for performance. Responsibilities will include use of blend of technologies like PWA, Express JS, REACT,NextJS, SCSS, Nodejs AND HTML / CSS / JS to translate UI / UX design to actual code which is perfect and as intended for usability.
The candidate is expected to operate as an AI-assisted developer from day one — effectively using tools like GitHub Copilot, VSCode to generate, review and refactor components, with a strong grasp of prompt design, context management and verification of AI-generated output
Duties And Responsibilities
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Core Development & Processes
- Create a robust UI framework for the new Web Platform looking at all Functional and non-Functional aspects including Security, Performance, Scalability and Availability using latest frontend technologies like react, react hooks, state management using flux, redux
- Must be able to create a strong understanding of the backend infrastructure and systems while delivering the front-end experience and bring both together to create a dynamic, personalized and customer first integrated asset
- Integrate various marketplaces and integrations into the ecosystem of One Web so that customer moves seamlessly across all webs with help of single sign on & central session management.
- Develop reusable UI REACTJS/NextJS components for one web, define accessibility & governance, and roll out the components for one web build.
- Ensure that the new UI platform to be developed will be as per the OWASP security standards & not having any top 10 OWASP issues
- Developing World class DIY Digital Product Journeys for 100+ product which will be integrating across one web using single sign on with react state management with redux.
- Develop front end to end applications with good usability principles, cross-browser compatibility, web security (XSRF, cross-site scripting defense), accessibility, Markup standards, last mile performance (minify, closure tools, and sprites), and HTML document architecture.
- Doing code Optimization for one web asset to ensure that pages developed are performance efficient as per the google Core Web Vitals standards (LCP, FCP, TTI) to bring down the page load time less than 2 sec.
- Use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or equivalent AI coding assistants as a primary day-to-day tool for component generation, refactoring, test generation, and documentation — not as an optional add-on.
- Write effective prompts and context scaffolding (clear intent, constraints, examples, acceptance criteria) to get production-grade React/Next.js components, hooks and utilities on the first or second attempt.
- Maintain project-level AI context files (e.g., CLAUDE.md, .cursorrules, copilot-instructions.md) capturing coding standards, architectural patterns, Bajaj Finserv design tokens, accessibility rules and RBI/compliance guardrails for the team's repo.
- Always critically review AI-generated output for security (XSS/CSRF, PII leakage), performance (bundle size, re-renders, Core Web Vitals), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and adherence to internal architectural patterns before committing.
- Practice responsible AI coding hygiene — no customer PII, API keys, secrets, proprietary RBI-regulated data, or production configs in prompts; follow Bajaj Finserv's approved-tool list and data-handling policy at all times.
- Contribute to reusable prompt libraries and component generation templates for the team so productivity gains compound across the team|3. Leadership & Team Development
- Add strategic value to processes through competition mapping and best practices adoption
- Scout the technology landscape to ensure adoption of emerging solutions and maintain innovative edge
- Stay current on the AI-for-developer-tools landscape (new models, IDE integrations, agentic coding workflows) and proactively surface opportunities to the senior UI developer / architect.
- Project Delivery & Innovation
- Ensuring timeline adherence to all assigned businesses and modules across agreed milestones
- Provide the Plans for large scale implementations which goes across multiple tracks and be able to create and manage dependencies effectively
- Executing POCs to validate technology roadmaps, feasibilities & possibilities with scalable solutions which are also versatile, inter-operable, can co-exist in the overall ecosystem and cost effective
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Should have 2-5 years of Web development experience & at least 2+ years of experience as a lead on projects involving frontend JS frameworks (REACT), UI frameworks (BOOSTRAP),
- FinTech or Ecommerce experience is desirable
- Graduate in Engineering, with a post-graduation preferably from a Tier 1 college
- 2+ years hands on experience in advanced HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, Vanilla JS and similar
- 2+ Years of experience of advanced JS libraries and frameworks like ReactJS with single page application development is important
- 2+ years of Strong experience in REACT JS/NextJS with Typescript & advanced object-oriented Typescript.
- Have experienced in react hooks, micro-frontend will be added advantage.
- Must have experience building up PWA version of websites and understanding the nitty-gritties of it
- Hands on implementation knowledge of CSS pre-processor like SaaS and less and responsive frameworks like bootstrap
- Should have hands on exposure in designing applications for multiple browser and multiple resolutions (including mobile devices)
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Experience of implementation methodology like responsive web design and adaptive web design
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, caching, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Basic knowledge of cloud-based solutions like Azure and AWS
- Strong orientation towards automation
- Experience with common front-end development & build tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Basic methodology of design methodology like progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
- Rest API integration and consuming JSON on front end
- Focus towards reusability and creation of UI library
- Code versioning implementation and maintenance on Git, End to End DevOps experience is a must
