Senior Software Engineer , Backend

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in Java/J2EE, Python, or Go

Technical Skills:

• Deep experience in building and maintaining large-scale backend systems or consumer-facing web applications
• Proficiency with cloud services, APIs, and relational/noSQL databases to build secure, scalable, and high-performance applications
• Solid foundation in Test Driven Development (TDD), unit/integration testing, and CI/CD best practices
• Familiar with microservices architecture, RESTful services, and distributed system design

AI-Native Mindset (Preferred):

• Basic understanding of AI and ML concepts (e.g., model prompting, inference, AutoML)
• Familiarity with data pipelines, metrics, and evaluation practices for AI integration
• Awareness of AI-native engineering principles and ability to apply them during development
• Interest in collaborating with AI experts to embed intelligent features into production applications

How You Will Lead

Backend Engineering Excellence:

• Be responsible for 80–90% hands-on coding, working on critical backend services
• Design and implement reliable, scalable, and maintainable software systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and system optimization efforts

AI Integration & Innovation:

• Collaborate with AI experts and data scientists to integrate AI features into backend applications
• Propose AI-powered solutions to business problems and participate in their design and implementation
• Ensure seamless AI model integration, monitoring, and performance optimization within the tech stack

Best Practices & Mentorship:

• Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and ensure engineering excellence
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in system design, performance, and quality
• Champion DevOps culture—contribute to continuous improvement and automation pipelines
