Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams and stakeholders to improve development efficiency, system reliability, and operational performance.
• Review existing systems, workflows, and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Recommend and implement engineering best practices such as CI/CD, SRE, automation, and monitoring.
• Create implementation roadmaps for adopting new tools, processes, and technical capabilities.
• Explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support proof-of-concept (POC) activities and assist with early-stage solution implementation.
• Develop and maintain applications, automation scripts, and batch jobs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and support cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and maintain data streaming and processing solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers to share knowledge, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience in an individual contributor role.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience developing automation scripts, cron jobs, and batch-processing solutions.
• Experience working with streaming data and event-driven systems.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale technical solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Experience supporting POCs and technology adoption initiatives.
• Experience working in secure or air-gapped environments is an advantage.
