Job Description
Position Title: Senior Software Engineer – Software Development
Job Position Summary:
Senior Software Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on software development experience. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Python, JavaScript, and ReactJS, along with solid problem-solving and system design capabilities. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software solutions and contribute to product and technology innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code by following established coding standards and software engineering best practices.
- System Design: Participate in technical and architecture discussions and recommend scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
- Problem Solving: Analyze business and technical requirements, troubleshoot complex application issues, identify root causes, and optimize application performance.
- Testing: Develop and support unit and integration tests and participate in debugging and defect resolution.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, QA Engineers, Software Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, development frameworks, and engineering practices and identify opportunities to enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.
Desired Qualification / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Preferred Relevant Work Experience:
- 6–8 years of professional software development experience, preferably involving end-to-end application development.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Experience with relational databases and application integration through APIs.
- Exposure to AWS, DevOps practices, CI/CD environments, and Agile software development methodologies is preferred.
Skills and knowledge:
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Understanding unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and software development best practices.
- Exposure to AWS cloud technologies is preferred.
- AWS or relevant technology certifications would be an added advantage but are not mandatory.
