Senior Software Engineer AI, Aviation & Data Solutions

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and develop innovative solutions at the intersection of aviation, artificial intelligence, big data, and modern web technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js), along with practical experience in AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and large-scale data processing.

The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who can take ownership of projects, design solutions, contribute to architecture, develop software, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in aviation, aviation meteorology (MET), weather systems, or other aviation technology is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications.
• Build modern web applications using the MEAN stack.
• Develop APIs, backend services, and integrations using Node.js and Express.js.
• Develop modern frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize MongoDB databases and data models.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML solutions, including:
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Generative AI
• Computer Vision
• NLP
• Predictive analytics
• AI agents and RAG solutions
• Work with large datasets and develop big-data and data-processing solutions.
• Analyze complex problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to solution architecture, software architecture, and system design.
• Take ownership of projects and technical deliverables from concept through implementation.
• Work with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Create clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, specifications, and API documentation.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and innovative approaches.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and continuously improve existing systems.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the MEAN stack:
• MongoDB
• Express.js
• Angular
• Node.js
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, algorithms, and system design.
• Practical experience with AI and Machine Learning.
• Experience with LLMs and Generative AI.
• Knowledge or experience with Computer Vision.
• Experience working with large datasets, data pipelines, or big-data technologies.
• Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to independently solve problems and take ownership of projects and deliverables.
  

Aviation / MET Experience — Preferred
