Senior Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Shape platforms for strategic growth initiatives, influencing development and design decisions.
• Lead exploration in software development and engineering excellence practices to deliver high-quality code.
• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle through coaching, R&D, proof of concepts, prototyping, development, and code review.
• Administer training during various phases of the development cycle.
• Influence development practices to comply with best practices, policies, and procedures.

• Adherence to and implementation of enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools.
• Development and implementation of build control strategies or QA tools/processes.
• Interaction with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules.
• Translation of complex system requirements and specifications into test requirements and methods.
• Experience in automation testing using tools like TestNG, Appium, Selenium, Rest Assured, and other mobile automation tools.
• Proficiency in writing test scripts in Java.
• Knowledge of the software testing life cycle including test planning, design and execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Hands-on experience in functional, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Excellent defect finding, debugging, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and team handling capabilities.
• Understanding and experience with software development processes such as Scrum, SAFe, Extreme Programming, and Lean.
• Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally.
• 7-9 years of automation testing experience.

• Experience testing solutions for large-scale deployments, including large enterprises or service providers, banking, or payment solutions.
• Ability to identify and implement more complex automation efforts.
• Capability to manage medium-sized projects/initiatives as an individual contributor with advanced knowledge within the discipline or formally supervise a small team.

• Proven track record of consistent improved performance throughout the career.
• Self-sufficiency in managing workload and schedule.
• Technology agnosticism with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools.
