Summary:
Assure quality and business behavior of the developed product with broad scope and considering long-term implications. Adheres to and implements enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools, and develops and implements build control strategies or QA tools/processes. Interacts with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules. Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods. Identifies and implements more complex automation efforts. Skilled at learning quickly, implementing new technologies, frameworks, and tools, and supporting multiple concurrent activities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and executing test plans for multiple applications, independently generating test data, and recognizing test environment preparation needs.
- Raises automation opportunities to more senior employees and implements simple automation efforts.
- Adheres to enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools.
- Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
- Take ownership of completing assigned tasks.
- Interacts with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- 5 years of software testing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
- Strong communication skills&mdashboth verbal and written&mdashand strong relationship, collaboration skills.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in test plan design, UI/manual/automation testing, automation framework, X-ray, Jenkins, and GIT.
- Skilled in performing API and batch testing.
- X-ray focused resource to support enterprise Jira test management.
Preferred Skills:
- 2-3 years of experience in each top skill.
- 4 years of UI/manual/automation testing, automation framework, X-ray, Jenkins, and GIT, API & batch testing, and a total of 5 years of experience.
