Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Hyderabad, suitable for candidates with 7 to 10 years of work experience. The role involves leading testing activities, designing test frameworks, and enhancing automation processes to ensure the highest quality of our software products.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience with a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 10 years in software testing and automation as a senior engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, and Java (Mandatory skill) for designing robust automated test cases.
- Solid knowledge of Python to develop and maintain automation scripts for various testing requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD tools to ensure smooth integration of code and effective deployment pipelines.
- Comprehensive understanding of API testing practices and tools for validating RESTful services.
- Capable of working efficiently with Docker to create consistent testing environments across different platforms.
- Familiarity with Jira for tracking issues, planning sprints, and coordinating project timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot testing challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks and scripts to evaluate the functionality and performance of software applications.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the software requirements to effectively plan and execute test scenarios.
- Lead the testing process, including test planning, test case creation, and regression testing for all software releases.
- Mentor and guide junior testing engineers in developing and improving their testing techniques and methodologies.
- Utilize Selenium, TestNG, and Java to build scalable automation frameworks for testing various software modules.
- Analyze testing results, identify defects, and ensure efficient tracking and resolution using Jira.
- Continuously enhance and maintain the testing infrastructure using Docker and other relevant tools.
- Contribute to continuous integration processes to automate the testing and deployment of software updates.
