The Role
We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer to design and build systems that sit at the intersection of high-performance backend engineering and applied AI. This is not a CRUD API role. You'll architect services that handle concurrent processing, integrate LLMs and intelligent automation, and scale under real production load.
Full-time, on-site, based out of Kalyan Dombivli (Thane / Navi Mumbai).
What You'll Work On
- Design and build backend systems and APIs that support complex, multi-stage processing pipelines
- Write production Rust for performance-critical, concurrent and async workloads
- Integrate LLMs and external AI/ML services (document intelligence, OCR, NLP, automation) into product workflows
- Build and optimize search and data-processing pipelines at scale
- Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas and queries for complex relational data
- Own deployment: Docker, Linux production environments, CI/CD from commit to release
- Implement security controls for systems that accept external user uploads and data
- Diagnose and resolve production issues under pressure. You own it end to end
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams, run code reviews, write technical documentation, and contribute to architecture decisions
- Mentor less experienced developers and help refine engineering process
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in computer science: data structures, algorithms, systems design
- Hands-on experience with Rust in a real production system or a serious personal project, not just tutorials
- Proven backend architecture experience. You've built systems more complex than one API talking to one database
- Experience with async and concurrent programming
- Practical experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML capabilities into applications
- Solid PostgreSQL or relational database design and query optimization skills
- Comfortable with Docker and Linux server administration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of application security fundamentals, especially around file and document handling
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL database design
- Exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines for production-grade deployments
- 3-10 years of professional software development experience, ideally in high-traffic or production environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Based in or willing to work on-site from Kalyan Dombivli / Thane / Navi Mumbai
