This Position reports to:
R&D Team LeadYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) for in-depth product or technology-related issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product/software/solution architecture.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Drive Products Division in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:
Defining the architecture of new products/features, as well as maintenance and life cycle strategy of existing products/features.
Leading the design and development of new products/features.
Architecting productivity improvement initiatives like continuous integration and deployment, DevOps etc. for faster and reliable development as well as deployment of the software products/solutions.
Understanding the market requirements, developing product requirements, and selecting appropriate technology and supporting development and testing of the application.
Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for colleagues and customers.
Working with products managers and product owners to define scope, features and estimates for new projects.
Planning project activities with local and remote teams across different R&D Center of Excellences.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or equivalent with 15+ years of overall software development experience along with at least 5-8 years of experience with designing Software Architecture.
Strong and Hands-on Experience in Windows Application Development using Microsoft Technologies including .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and Azure.
Should have architected and designed (desktop) software applications. Having Basic knowledge in PLC, Drive or any micro-controller-based device & knowledge about industry usage of the devices is added advantage.
Excellent debugging capabilities to understand existing code base, development standard, design patterns, identify improvement areas & bug.
Must have exposure to agile software development methodologies, with good track record in delivery compliance with respect to time & quality requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent in understanding user requirements, analyzing requirements, code development following existing standards, follow Definition of done (DOD), Definition of Ready (DOR), unit testing & creating project documentation.
