The Impact you will have in this role:The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.
Your Primary Responsibilities:- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more programming languages for the development and support of applications
- Work effectively within different development methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)
- Apply code patterns and design techniques to ensure performance requirements are met
- Coordinate with senior team members to implement solutions using secure coding best practices
- Develop and maintains system documentation
- Work closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, analyzing and implementing solutions that solve complex business problems.
- Research new technologies and incorporates in day-to-day work
- Incorporate data security, retention, and recovery issues into application builds
- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
We are seeking a Oracle PL/SQL developer to support and enhance oracle database driven applications. The role is focused on PL/SQL development, SQL optimization, and data processing, working closely with application developers and tested in the in the Agile environment to ensure high quality software delivery.
Key Responsibility:
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval, validation and reporting.
- Support Oracle based applications and batch processing workflows.
- Assist in performance tuning, indexing and query optimization.
- Work with application teams to understand data requirements and business logic.
- Assist with application deployment and support on AWS
- Use Unix/Linux command and shell scripting for batch and automation.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies ( stand-ups, spring planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Follow SDLC best practices including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Use Git for source control, branching, and code reviews.
- Collaborates well within and across teams.
- Communicates openly with team members and others.
- Works with the team to review deliverables and ensure quality and accuracy; Adheres to established rules and procedures when performing work.
