Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake and the modern data stack to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end ownership, works closely with clients and stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Apache Airflow
  • Implement and manage ELT/ETL workflows for structured and semi-structured data
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade data models (Dimensional, Kimball, Data Vault)
  • Perform Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization, including warehouse sizing, query optimization, clustering, and caching
  • Build scalable data processing frameworks using Apache Spark (PySpark / Spark SQL)
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, SaaS platforms, files, cloud storage, and streaming systems
  • Implement data quality checks, validations, observability, and monitoring frameworks
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Git and automation tools
  • Collaborate with clients, data analysts, and data scientists to deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Anblicks accelerators and best practices
  • Participate in solution design reviews, architecture discussions, and client interactions

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
  • Strong production experience with Snowflake, including:
  • Data warehouse architecture
  • Performance tuning and cost optimization
  • Security and access controls
  • Proven expertise in dbt (data modeling, testing, documentation, modular SQL)
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (DAG design, scheduling, orchestration)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark preferred)
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns and data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault)
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills for client-facing delivery

Nice to Have

  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification (Core / Advanced)
  • Experience with real-time or near-real-time pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
  • Exposure to data observability and quality tools (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Soda)
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
  • Experience in consulting or multi-client delivery environments
