Senior Snowflake Architect

Senior Snowflake Architect with strong client-facing experience, responsible for architecting end-to-end Snowflake data platforms and leveraging Snowpark for advanced in-warehouse processing.

We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Platform Architect who can work directly with clients to design and architect end-to-end Snowflake-based data platforms. The role requires strong architectural ownership, deep Snowflake expertise, and hands-on familiarity with Snowpark for advanced data processing and analytics use cases.

This is not a pure development role the focus is on solution architecture, design decisions, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end architecture design for Snowflake data platforms

Work closely with clients to:

o Understand business requirements

o Translate them into scalable Snowflake architectures

Design data platforms covering:

o Data ingestion (batch & streaming)

o Raw, curated, and consumption layers

o Data modeling (dimensional, data vault, hybrid)

Architect solutions using Snowpark (Python / SQL) for:

o Advanced transformations

o Data quality

o Deduplication / entity resolution

o Custom processing inside Snowflake

Define best practices for:

o Performance optimization

o Cost management

o Security & governance

o Data lifecycle management

Drive architectural decisions around:

o Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams

o Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning

o Role-based access control (RBAC)

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure:

o Architecture is implemented correctly

o Non-functional requirements are met

Support client discussions, architecture reviews, and solution walkthroughs

Required Skills & Experience

Snowflake Core

Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture

Strong understanding of:

o Virtual warehouses

o Micro-partitioning

o Clustering strategies

o Query optimization

Experience designing enterprise-scale Snowflake platforms

Snowpark

Hands-on experience with Snowpark (Python preferred)

Ability to design Snowpark-based processing for:

o Complex transformations

o Custom logic not suited for pure SQL

Understanding of Snowpark performance considerations

Data Engineering & Architecture

Strong background in:

o Data warehousing & lakehouse concepts

o Data ingestion patterns

o Data modeling

Experience with Azure cloud ecosystem

Client-Facing & Consulting

Proven experience working directly with clients

Ability to:

o Lead architecture discussions

o Explain trade-offs clearly

o Drive design decisions with confidence

Comfortable owning solution design end-to-end

Good to Have Experience with:

o Salesforce Snowflake integrations

o Data quality, MDM, or deduplication use cases

o ML / analytics workloads inside Snowflake

Familiarity with:

o CI/CD for data platforms

o Data governance & compliance frameworks
