Role: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, KA (Work from office, 2-3 days a week)

Duration: Full-time at Quanta Systems Technologies LLP (Quantum Integrators)

Shift Time: UK Shift (04.00 PM to 01.00 AM IST)

About the Role:

We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and compliance of systems supporting our pharmaceutical operations; including R&D platforms, manufacturing systems, and regulated data environments. This role bridges software engineering and operations in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure for critical business and scientific systems
• Monitor system performance, define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, and lead incident response and root cause analysis
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring (Infrastructure as Code)
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA where applicable)
• Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and validation teams on system architecture and change control
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive post-incident reviews
• Optimize cloud costs and infrastructure efficiency

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8-12 years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• At least 4+ years in an SRE role.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, or Bash)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Monitoring/observability tools experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk)
• Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
• Experience with incident management and on-call practices

Preferred / Pharma-Specific Qualifications:

• Experience working in GxP-validated environments or other regulated industries (healthcare, finance, biotech)
• Familiarity with computer system validation (CSV) and change control processes
• Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 and data integrity principles (ALCOA+)
• Experience supporting laboratory information systems (LIMS), ELNs, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus
• Knowledge of SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA) are a plus
