Job Summary

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)/Application Managed Services (AMS) specialist supporting Oracle Banking Cloud Services (OBCS), you will deploy, operate, and enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud-native SaaS solutions. You will drive operational excellence through automation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and proactively ensure the stability and security of our services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, monitor, and operate OBCS SaaS services to maximize availability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Build and automate tools, scripts, dashboards, and alerting frameworks to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and operational issues.
  • Implement and maintain service monitoring, alert thresholds, SLO/SLA dashboards, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and performance tuning for optimal resource usage.
  • Collaborate with development teams, sharing ownership of cloud-native microservices and their supporting components.
  • Analyze and articulate end-to-end system architecture, dependencies, and production service behavior.
  • Guide architecture decisions for cloud-native, microservices-based SaaS products.
  • Manage incident response with acute understanding of RTO (Recovery Time Objective), RPO (Recovery Point Objective), and their impact on service availability.
  • Participate in a 247 on-call rotation for OBCS SaaS services.
  • Demonstrate strong curiosity and adaptability in learning emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Skills


Mandatory:

  • 68 years experience in SRE, AMS, or DevOps roles (preferably within BFSI environments).
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with cloud deployments (IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS) and Kubernetes in production.
  • Proven expertise with fault-tolerant, high-throughput, highly available, multi-tenant environments.
  • Proficiency executing patches, upgrades, and hotfixes in live environments.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) or comparable database platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OCI Logging).
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
  • Practical understanding of core cloud concepts, including hyper-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Awareness of basic security practices and network topology fundamentals.
  • Experience with capacity management and performance optimization in SaaS environments.
  • Effective communicator and proactive learner.

Good-to-Have:


  • Prior experience supporting cloud services for financial sector clients.
  • Familiarity with advanced security protocols and regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC2).
  • Contributions to open-source SRE/DevOps projects.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
