Role Summary

Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure supporting production SaaS workloads. Partner with engineering, DevOps, networking, and security teams to build highly available, observable, automated, and cost-efficient cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the GCP Subject Matter Expert for cloud architecture, engineering, and operations.
  • Design and manage production GCP infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
  • Administer GKE clusters, Kubernetes workloads, autoscaling, upgrades, and networking.
  • Implement GitOps and CI/CD using GitLab, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, and Jenkins.
  • Manage Shared VPC, Cloud NAT, Load Balancers, Cloud DNS, Private Service Connect, and firewall policies.
  • Implement IAM, Secret Manager, Vault, and Cloud Armor.
  • Support Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Redis, Kafka, and Artifact Registry.
  • Implement monitoring with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
  • Drive SRE practices, incident response, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with Security on SOC 2, vulnerability remediation, and governance.
  • Support Vertex AI and Model Garden infrastructure where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience.
  • Experience managing production GCP environments.
  • Strong Kubernetes/GKE administration experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps.
  • Experience with Linux, networking, IAM, cloud security, and SaaS operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification preferred.
  • Experience with Azure and multi-cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
