The Role: Visionary Reliability
As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you are a primary architect of our technical future. You don't just solve problems; you anticipate the needs of a global healthcare platform years in advance.
You will think big to define the standards for reliability, scalability, and security that allow our
doctors to provide world-class care without interruption.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will innovate boldly, acting as a bridge between
engineering, product, and business goals. By aligning passion with purpose, you will build a resilient infrastructure that serves as the backbone for modern medicine.
How You'll Drive Success
• Architectural Strategy: Lead the long-term vision for our AWS cloud ecosystem. You will
design fault-tolerant, cost-effective architectures that handle massive scale while
maintaining the highest levels of performance.
• Observability as Culture: Move beyond simple monitoring. You will architect global
observability standards using DataDog, enabling teams across the company to have deep,
actionable insights into system health.
• Platform Evolution: Optimize our CI/CD philosophy using Jenkins and automation. You will
focus on systemic improvements that save time for hundreds of developers, increasing the
velocity of our mission.
• Kubernetes Mastery: Set the gold standard for container orchestration. You will lead high level efforts to optimize Kubernetes efficiency, security, and deployment patterns across the
organization.
• Strategic Security: Partner with security teams to ensure our infrastructure is a fortress. You
will ensure proactive compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2, proving that doing good starts
with protecting patient data.
Enterprise Troubleshooting: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for the most complex
system failures. You lead incident post-mortems to ensure we learn, grow, and strengthen
our systems every day.
• Multiplying Talent: As a Staff Engineer, your success is measured by the growth of those
around you. You will mentor senior engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and foster a
culture of excellence and fun.
What You'll Bring
• Expertise: 10–13+ years of experience in SRE or Cloud Architecture, with a proven history of
scaling complex cloud-native environments.
• AWS Authority: Deep technical mastery of the AWS stack (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) with a
focus on Thinking Big for global scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Advanced Tooling: Professional-level fluency in Kubernetes, DataDog, and Infrastructure as
Code (Terraform/Ansible).
• Strategic Scripting: Expert-level scripting (Python/Bash) to build internal tools and
platforms that eliminate toil.
• High-Level Influence: The ability to communicate a technical vision to executives while
remaining deeply technical enough to conduct a deep-dive architectural review.
• Mission Alignment: A desire to use your elite technical skills to solve one of the world's most
meaningful challenges: modernizing healthcare.
Nice-to-Haves
• AWS Professional or Specialty Certifications (Architect, Security, or DevOps).
