Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Role Description As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Chingari®, you will be responsible for designing, operating, and improving highly available, scalable, and secure production systems. In this full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, you will monitor system health, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to improve reliability and performance. You will collaborate closely with software engineers to design resilient architectures, define SLOs/SLIs, and automate deployment, monitoring, and recovery processes. Day-to-day work includes building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring adherence to best practices for security and compliance. You will also mentor team members, contribute to on-call rotations, and help shape the culture of reliability and operational excellence across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, including designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and observable systems.
• 5+ Year exp
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Solid software development skills in one or more languages (such as Node.js Python,), with a focus on building automation, tooling, and production-ready services.
• Hands-on system administration experience with Linux-based systems, including performance tuning, networking fundamentals, and security best practices.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure concepts, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (such as Terraform or Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (for example Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, or similar) and defining SLOs/SLIs.
• Prior experience working with high-traffic, distributed systems or real-time media platforms is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and contribute to an inclusive, learning-focused culture.
