This position is based in Gurugram , travel to various sites as per requirements.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to lead start-up and commissioning for PMC and EPC projects in biogas and renewable energy.
You will be responsible for:
- Plant start-up
- Cold and warm commissioning
- Performance stabilisation
- Final handover of the plant
You will work closely with Design & Engineering, Project Management, and site teams, and will ensure technical readiness, safety, and good plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning
- Prepare a clear commissioning strategy, procedures, and execution plan that matches project timelines.
- Define how the plant will be started up and make sure this plan fits with design and construction work.
- Join bid-stage technical evaluations and give inputs on commissioning.
2. Project Delivery
- Lead and supervise:
- Installation
- Pre-commissioning
- Commissioning
- Start-up activities
- Ensure the plant is stabilised and meets performance guarantees.
- Handle troubleshooting, tune operations, and improve performance.
- Make sure the plant is ready for technical acceptance and final handover.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with:
- Design & Engineering
- Project teams
- Clients
- Be the main point of contact for commissioning with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Share learnings from the site with the design team and ensure corrections are made where needed.
4. Risk & Cost Control
- Identify risks related to commissioning and prepare mitigation plans.
- Monitor the commissioning budget and keep costs efficient.
- Reduce rework by taking proactive technical actions.
5. People Leadership
- Lead and guide:
- Commissioning engineers
- Site teams
- Ensure good coordination among different teams (engineering, construction, operations).
- Build a strong performance culture and encourage knowledge sharing.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Follow all safety standards and legal requirements.
- Implement commissioning safety protocols and permit systems.
- Build a zero-incident safety culture on site.
Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in plant commissioning, start-up, and stabilisation.
- Experience in biogas / renewable energy projects.
- Good ability in troubleshooting and operational optimisation.
- Understanding of process engineering and system integration.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience:12–15 years in commissioning leadership roles (preferably in biogas / renewable energy / EPC projects)
